A unique opportunity to learn the Indian style water color wash, traditional in Indian art from 19th century. Course includes handling of wet paper, pigment mixing and colour wash training. Idea evolvement every week

Title: “Indian style wash watercolor” technique with Milton Mondal
A course to investigate traditional “Indian Style water color-wash painting” techniques, develop transparent color-wash of the Bengal school of 19th century India. Pioneer Abanindranath Tagore, followed by Nandala Bose and many others. The course is about how to handle wet paper, watercolor pigment mixing, use of a flat brush charged with wet paint over a freely painted and highly finished surface. The course also contains weekly brief presentations for devolving new ideas. This course also focuses soft and delicate tonalities and water-washes, the fusion of different colors to bring out tender tones.

Mondal's backgkround:
In brief, he did his bachelor at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India. He also has a diploma in fine art from Esam Caen in France. Currently, he is pursuing his Masters' Program in Print & Drawing from Oslo National Academy of the Arts. He has conducted many summer camps for children and adults. And has been teaching as an art teacher in a local school in India.
