We provide norwegian intensive course at beginner level A2. This is third beginner-level norwegian language course at Alfaskolen. This course continues from our A0 - A1 norwegian course for beginners.
Course level:
By now you can express yourself in norwegian in a simple way and can use norwegian in present and past tense. The course offered studies at level A0 - A2 based on language levels as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Your norwegian lessons will be purely in norwegian, so knowledge of the english language is not required. This also means that you will focus on speaking and understanding norwegian from day one and learn norwegian fast and efficiently! With this course you complete part A2 of the beginner level.

• Have conversations in norwegian and talk about people, places, and things, using more advanced norwegian sentence structures.

Expats in Norway, skilled workers, international expatriates, international students of Nordic studies, anyone interested in Scandinavian languages or who wants to live and work in Norway or study in Oslo.

Course materials:
The classroom-based A1-A2 course uses the textbook and exercise book På Vei (2018 edition). These can be purchased at Alfaskolen’s reception prior to your first class. NB! From January 2026, we will be changing to the textbook and exercise book På Vei (2025 edition). This will be relevant for students starting a new course from january. If you have started a course in 2025, which continues in january, you will still use the 2018 edition.
Course certificate:
At the end of the A1-A2 Beginner Level, if you complete 80% or more of the course’s content, you will receive an official digital course certificate.
