Course description:
GDPR Foundation training enables you to learn the basic elements to implement and manage a compliance framework with regard to the protection of personal data. During this training course, you will be able to understand the fundamental privacy principles and become familiar with the role of the Data Protection Officer.
After completing this course, you can sit for the exam and apply for a “PECB Certified GDPR Foundation” credential. A PECB Foundation Certificate shows that you have understood the fundamental methodologies, requirements, framework and management approach.

Module 2 - GDPR Principles and Lawful Bases:
• This section explains the core principles that govern the processing of personal data under GDPR, including lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality. Participants learn how these principles apply in practice.
Module 3 - Data Subject Rights:
• Participants explore the rights GDPR grants to data subjects, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and how organisations must handle requests from data subjects.
Module 4 - Obligations of Controllers and Processors:
• This module covers the responsibilities and obligations that fall on data controllers and data processors, including accountability, documentation, policies and data protection by design and default.
Module 5 - Roles and Compliance Practices:
• Participants learn about important GDPR roles such as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), and essential compliance practices including records of processing, impact assessments and breach notification requirements.
