We provide course about CK 405 offshore loading phase 2 in english. After the course the participants should have acquired understanding and skills to be able to handle shuttle tankers safely and efficient in DP mode near offshore installations when loading at various loading systems.
Theoretical topics such as:
• Rules and regulations
• Offshore loading systems such as Tandem F(P)SO, UKOLS and Spread moored
• Tandem Operation with and without hawser
• General and field specific procedures
• Position reference systems; DARPS, APOS, Artemis, XPR 100, Radius, Fanbeam, Cyscan and Spot Track
• Unwanted incidents including reports from IMCA, HSE and ship owners
• DP limitations (including DP capability plots, online consequence analysis, DP crash stop results, ASOG & CAMO)
• Repetition of rate of turn (ROT) technique
• DP FMEA, technical requirements, competence requirements
Simulator cases including:
• Approach, connecting, loading & disconnection at various offshore loading systems such as Tandem active heading control, with and without hawser, Tandem passive weathervaning, UKOLS and Spread Moored.
• Escape maneuvering
• Engine trouble
• Propellers failure
• DP errors
• PRS errors
• ESD 1 and 2
Duration:
• The course lasts for 3 days (21 hours & 45 min) and max 3 participants per instructor and bridge simulator
The course is according to the OGUK regulations and Equinor’s competence requirements
Target audience:
This course is for officers working on shuttle tankers
Prerequisites:
• Offshore loading phase 1 course shall have been completed by course participant, followed by at least 1 OLST DP offshore loading operation to secure a minimum level of experience. After completion of the offshore loading phase 1 course, the onboard DP CAP field basic exercises relevant for the OLSTs trade pattern shall have been completed by course participant.
