Course description:
This hands-on, lab-based course shows you how to verify the successful installation of a cluster, manage it on a day-to-day basis, and troubleshoot the deployment of containerized applications.

Course objectives:

• Configure and manage OpenShift clusters in production environments
• Troubleshoot application deployments and cluster issues
• Configure authentication and manage user access using RBAC
• Expose applications securely using TLS encryption
• Implement network policies for application isolation
• Manage resource usage with quotas and limits
• Configure application scheduling using labels and selectors
• Install and manage Kubernetes Operators
• Use the web console to manage clusters and applications

Module 1 - Cluster installation and updates:
• Understand installation workflows and how to update OpenShift clusters

Module 2 - Troubleshooting application deployments:
• Identify and resolve issues with containerized applications

Module 3 - Authentication and access control:
• Configure local users and manage access using role-based access control (RBAC)

Module 4 - Exposing applications:
• Expose applications securely to external clients using TLS

Module 5 - Network policies:
• Configure network isolation between services and applications

Module 6 - Application scheduling:
• Control how workloads are scheduled using labels and selectors

Module 7 - Resource management:
• Limit resource usage using quotas and resource limits

Module 8 - Cluster and application management:
• Use the web console to manage clusters and applications

Module 9 - Kubernetes Operators:
• Install and manage Operators to extend cluster functionality

• Complete Introduction to Containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift (DO180), or demonstrate equivalent experience with containers, Kubernetes, and OpenShift basics.
