This course presents in depth the VSM solution, with a primary focus on the VTCS software component. Key topics are architecture, administration, management, planning and installation of VSM.
|
At the completion of this course, the student should be able to:
• Master VSM concepts
• Understand VSM architecture
• Become familiar with VSM administration facilities
• Issue VSM console commands
• Run VSM utilities, including the CONFIG utility
• Learn to manage a virtual tape environment
• Understand the architecture and implementation of Clustered VTSS
• Learn to carry out problem determination and resolution tasks
• Learn to Install and configure VSM

This course is for Systems Administrators, Operators, and Data Center Managers.
