This instructor-led training course focused on the Sun StorageTek 6140 and 6540 is for Sun employees,Sun Channel Partners and end-users who are seeking installation and configuration training. Additionally,training will be provided on adminitstering storage with Common Array Manager(CAM)

After completing this section, participants should be able to:
• Identify the features and functions of the 6540 storage array
• Assess the physical location
• Confirm the compatibility
• Complete the pre-planning checklist
• Identify hardware parts and pieces
• Recognize the proper 6540 power sequence
• Identify the LEDs
• Identify Data Services in CAM
• Recognize CAM features
• Determine what the customer can control within the storage array
• Complete key configuration steps
• Practice the proper hardware care and how to address
• Identify how to change the storage environment based on the customer s needs

Målgruppe for kurset
Students who can benefit from this course are system support engineers (SSEs), technical support engineers (TSEs), field service engineers (FEs), and CCC value added retail (VAR) field engineers.
To succeed fully in this course, students should have knowledge of RAID and open systems disk.
