The StarOffice Migration Partner course provides students with the details and information needed to guide customers through the process of migrating from the Microsoft Office to the StarOffice product.
|
This course focuses on sales information and on the technical details needed to support a successful migration. Students learn how to integrate the sales of other Sun Microsystems hardware and services with sales of the StarOffice software.
The hands-on exercises offered in this course might involve the access of equipment that resides in a location other than that in which this training is delivered.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: • Sell StarOffice software and services • Plan a software migration • Answer detailed questions from customers about StarOffice software components • Point to key benefits of the StarOffice Writer software • Point to key benefits of the StarOffice Calc software • Point to key benefits of the StarOffice Impress software • Connect StarOffice software with databases • Install StarOffice software correctly • Configure StarOffice software correctly • Integrate software user profiles on a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server
