The Solaris and Microsoft Windows Network Integration course provides students with the skills necessary to integrate the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) with the Microsoft Windows system.
|
This course also explains several integration features and tools, such as Samba, Solaris PC NetLink, and Citrix MetaFrame XP. In addition, the course provides hands-on lab experience to integrate the Solaris OS and Microsoft Windows networks.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
• Identify network integration issues
• Identify the functions of the Solaris OE and Windows 2000 network protocols
• Use network commands
• Install and configure the Samba software
• Install and configure TCP/IP print services
• Describe subnetting and routing of networks
• Set up Microsoft Windows naming services and describe domains
• Install, configure, and perform advanced operations of the PC NetLink software
• Configure DNS, DHCP, and Mail servers in the Solaris OS and Microsoft Windows system
• Install and configure Citrix MetaFrame XP
