This course provides the skills necessary to perform administrator taskson the SVA (Shared Virtual Array) using the following two STK softwareproducts: SVAA (SVA Administrator) and SVAC (SVA Console).
|
This coursewill also provide the skills necessary to perform Snapshot copies of DASDvolumes and data sets. Data replication with PPRC is also presented.
Upon course completion, students should be able to:
* Understand the Shared Virtual Array (SVA) hardware and software benefits
* Understand Virtual Architecture
* Verify the SVA setup in preparation for Shared Virtual Array Administrator (SVAA) and Shared Virtual Array Console (SVAC) software
* Perform configuration and storage management tasks using the Shared Virtual Array Administrator (SVAA)
* Perform configuration and storage management tasks using the Shared Virtual Array Console (SVAC) software
* Perform SVAA installation planning and implementation tasks
* Create copies of data sets and volumes using SnapShot software
* Understand the Shared Virtual Array Administrator (SVAA) for VM
