The purpose of the SL3000 Operators Course for Customers is to teach customers how to fully use the SL3000 and thus maximize their investment. This training will include library familiarization, configuration, operation, and best practice usage.
|
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
• Identify the source of required information
• Define the important operational safety requirements
• Identify and describe the components of SL3000
• Describe the function and operation of SL3000 and associated tape drives
• Explain the purpose of the display, buttons, and indicators of the front panel of an SL3000 library
• Explain how to properly enter and exit the library
• Compare SL3000 with SL8500
• Determine the location of the cartridge slot or drive given a hardware, firmware, or HLI-PRC address
• Identify the components and their purpose of a TallBot
• Describe the difference between a library audit and a host audit
