The Hitachi HDLM and HGLAM Installation, Configuration, and Administration course provides technical information about the installation, configuration, and administration of Hitachi HiCommand Dynamic Link Manager software and Hitachi HiCommand Global Link Availability Manager software. It enables the learner to gain understanding of the relationship between both software products. The course introduces the learners to the purpose, features, and architecture of Dynamic Link Manager software and Global Link Availability Manager software.
It also highlights the value addition that the Global Link Availability Manager software provides. It focuses on the recommended practices to create an effective implementation plan for installations. It also familiarizes the learners with the installation environment and the pre-requisites for installation. The lab activities include hands-on learning about how to successfully set up, configure, and use key features, including the graphic user interface and historical reporting.
Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
• Identify the purpose and features of Dynamic Link Manager software and Global Link Availability Manager software
• Describe the relationship between Global Link Availability Manager software and Dynamic Link Manager software
• Design an implementation plan
• Install, configure, and administer the products
• Set and monitor alerts
• Manage users, resources, and resource groups
• Implement historical path reporting
• Describe and configure SNMP trap forwarding
• Resolve problems and identify the procedure to raise issues to TRC
• Describe recommended practices to achieve a successful implementation
