Accidental falls are currently the second leading cause of occupational accidents resulting in death, exceeded only by accidents with motor vehicles. The proper use of fall protection systems requires training.
The employer is required to provide such training as stipulated in the Work Environment Act. Many accidents result in serious injuries because of improper use of the equipment. The equipment operator lacks the necessary training and is not familiar with the manufacturer´s restrictions of the equipment. This course provides participants with basic training in different fall protection systems and knowledge of the restrictions set by the manufacturers. This is really a course everyone should take.
